Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Give them what they want

My husband works for wells and we discussed what would happen if everyone showed up everyday for a couple weeks. Based on capacity and availability over a third will not have seats. At which point wells is no longer providing the tools or equipment to effectively do your job and balance the in office key strokes required. Just a thought.

GD it, for the last freaking time. Coffee badging, lunch leavers, and other non compliance had NOTHING to do with the decision to push 8 hours a day. None whatsoever. Voluntary attrition has targets. Every single time the numbers dip below what they are looking for, they dig up (translation: have their overpaid consultants tell us what everyone else is doing) another way to torment employees more so people will leave. That's all this is. That's all this has ever been. Don't think so? Fine with me, but good luck convincing anyone that the same people that have downsized 100,000 employees give a flying F who is in the office and when. What they actually want, in the end? You, me, and everyone else based in the US to be 0 hours of work, 0 days per week, forever. That's what they want. Shart wants you in the unemployment line, not costing him money in an office.

If everyone were to show up (would never happen and this board isn’t a secret), they would just start assigning teams set in office schedules to manage capacity. That would result in less flexibility. Get your swipes, serve your time, and keep it pushing. Too many ppl asking the “how many hours” question is how we got to this new mandate. The first rule of fight club is not to talk about it, but people wouldn’t shut up, demanding to know exactly how long they had to stay in the office and couldn’t use common sense. So now it’s in writing. Congrats, you played yourselves.

Somebody's trotting out that old "universal desktop seating" bullsh-t again, huh? Do you need to be told even more plainly that you don't matter to your soulless corporate overlords? You're not even allowed to have a chair of your own.

Keep showing up, keep getting abused, you deserve it.

@b3 before Covid they were already transitioning to neighborhood seating with 5 days, but in the very early stages and select locations. They just had a different formula of 1.2 vs the 1.6 now

If we are going to have to be in office 4 days a week feeling homeless in neighborhood seating I think I’d rather just have assigned seating at 5 days in office so at least we could feel more comfortable. But this is insane because before COVID we had 4 days in office AND we got our own cubes. Bring back assigned seating!

Well, they will move more jobs to EGS, and make room. Soon, everyone gets their cubic, and in office for 5 days a week.

The parking is a nightmare now…after almost an hour commute it took me another 20 minutes to actually get into the building after having to go up to the 7th floor(top floor) of the parking deck where I work. I can imagine some people couldn’t get a spot at all. Completely ridiculous.

I also wonder about parking. Have they over sold the parking passes? I’ve already got an email saying they know that parking has been tight recently.

If I pay $150 for a pass and can’t find a spot, I’m not going to find and pay extra for another garage. I’m going home and will let them know that there were no parking spaces available.

It is a good point they really don't have the desk space. I've had trouble finding a spot tues-thurs. Not sure what your supposed to do in that instance, I mean I am sure the powers that be would ding you anyway, but really that's on them.

Nobody can get 20 office workers to agree on a pizza order, but you think you can plan to have everyone show up in some moment of solidarity?
