@a5 they don’t seem to analyze their decisions very well. It’s all very short term and they don’t value human capital. It’s all about the one short term number and don’t care about or don’t look anr any other business downsides.
I am from Lehi and they think everything is okay but it isn’t okay. Everyone is just resigned to everything being held together with duct tape and doing the best we can. They decimated the place with layoffs and are very arrogant and refuse to listen.
My prediction is that the company will fail long term unless they put more engineers in the management chain and get rid of the MBAs and reform the broken management culture. The monopoly in the analog space is over and they need to reform or they will die with their id--tic shortsighted decisions.

drive your car with 1 less wheel and see how that turns out. cost-cutting works to a point but it's usually the response by unimpressive executives who don't have any better ideas. that is why they are trying to constantly ride the coattails of nvidia or tsmc or apple through press releases.
"look at us, we're like the big boys! we're doing things too!"
yeah, the market isn't great but do you really think they'll change their minds on the upturn?

My experience for the last 7 years at TI of a tenure over 3 and a half decades was that for mainly middle mgmt and finally executive mgmt was the directive was regardless of the situation....fix by the end of quarter without providing any approtaite budget or additional labor. The "one TI " mantra was so ignored despite having benchmark results available for them to analyze...comprehend...and standardized across similar mfg platforms.

Amazing isn't it. These corporations just keep trimming the actual workforce to keep highly compensated executives in place.
