Don’t give them anything. No extra time, no extra effort, no loyalty. Just the bare minimum. And don’t take on the work dumped on you from the skilled people they just tossed aside. Why help clean up their mess or shoulder more, when you could be the next in line to go?

They didn’t even consult most managers on who to let go. Probably based it on outdated job titles or job descriptions
I personally respect my managers who have no say in lay offs. It is the decent human thing to do, to do your job and not put more on them. They also are dealing with this. The company however, sure. I can understand not going above and beyond for, but I personally couldn’t just do that to my managers and team.
Lay offs su-k, but they happen everywhere. Going in to work every day with a negative mindset wont get you anywhere but angry and stressed out. Instead of complaining, apply out for a new job, theres so much better opportunity out there! This is what I did instead of bringing down morale…you’re in charge of your own life, career and future. Blaming other’s wont get you anywhere.
Anyways, just wanted to add a positive note and wish good things on everyone out there struggling with this!
Seems like this would actually make it more likely you’ll be next in line. They’re doing you all a disservice by saying none of the layoffs were performance related. They’re not picking irreplaceable winners to get the can.
Honestly this goes for any company....
