Announced today two new board members from Elliott. First I had heard about them since Elliot was announced in July. The name Patricia Watson ring a bell? Former CIO of TSYS before the merge.

@14h During Patricia Watson’s tenure on the boards of Southwest Airlines and Rockwell Automation, both companies experienced significant workforce reductions, especially in 2024–2025.
Southwest Airlines Layoffs
In early 2025, Southwest Airlines undertook the first mass corporate layoffs in its 53-year history, cutting nearly 1,750 employees from corporate and leadership roles, amounting to approximately 15% of its corporate workforce. The move was driven by pressure from activist investors and a push toward operational efficiency and profitability.[onemileatatime +4]
Rockwell Automation Employee Reduction
Rockwell Automation announced in 2025 a layoff of approximately 3% of its global workforce, which equated to about 900 employees. This reduction was part of broader organizational streamlining. Previous years saw Rockwell focus more on retention, but the recent macroeconomic environment led to the decision for planned reductions.
So we know what happens when Patty comes into the company (she’s a known axe woman) BUT what happens when she’s on the BOARD??!! This is BAD !!! Prayers for all of us!
I was just replying to the original post that spoke about patty and what we went through while she was there. Relax. You dont have to be mean about it. Its an open forum. If you dont want to see people's replies, dont come. People who have been laid off from there come and comment. I dont know if you have noticed, but thats the purpose of the website. To hear the current as well as past experiences. Or do you not know why this site is here ? It is the leadership that is sewing seeds of discouragement and fear. Not me. I out in 17 yrs at tsys. I have a right to comment.
Why are you posting on this forum if you have not worked for the company in over a year? If nothing else, it is to sew discouragement and negativity. Hardly being harmless as a dove. I hope you find peace.
@qe. I already got laid off by mckinsey in august 2024 during a big layoff. So I have no job there to be thankful for. I do have a current job God has blessed me with and I am very thankful. I do have to picky about where I work regardless of the current job market. God is picky about what he let's happen to us, so I have to be picky as well. There are alot of abusive toxic managers out there and I would rather be homeless than allow another abusive narcissistic boss furthwr ruin my mental health. So why we do have to be thankful, we also need to have discernment. We are instructed to be wise as serpents but harmless as doves. That means be humble but have disercernment.
Have you seen the job market? People are beating down doors for jobs. Maybe you can choose to be picky about where you work but most people can’t. There’s 1000s that want your job at any given time. Be thankful.
Well all of that is already happening without Watson here
Pat was the one who fired tons of tsys team members, closed offices and shipped all the jobs overseas as she got tsys ready for global payments to take over. It was very traumatizing for me to watch my friends who were high performers being let go. Never again will I work for pat Watson or global. Never.
