Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Silent quitting my experience

I’ve been in claims for nearly 3 years, got a pretty good schedule where I work task work the entire day, I do my 5 task an hour, takes me like 15 minutes, I click my mouse multiples times so no idle shows up, and then I just play video games for the the better part of the day, and I know a lot of people are gonna come bi--hing and moaning about my post but idgaf lmao, I have a small community of people in SF that do the same, I was really into the work for the better part of 2 years and realized being remote there’s no opportunities to move up and now I don’t think I want to if there was an opportunity, I’m just gonna milk the system until I decide what I want to do next. Gonna learn how to use this FMLA and STD before I do up and quit. Cheers!

@k0 that's a very overused excuse used by someone to gaslight an employee saying that they're the problem even when the promotion process is flawed. The real problem is only people like you, so people resort to slacking or milking the system. Who really wins here ? lol

Funny but not funny, and you wonder why you all weren't promoted or why SF wants to cut people. Promotions arent always fair but if you take that attitude you just justified their selection because at the core of things, you're actually just a bad employee

I used to get irritated by people who did this.
Now? More power to you if you can get away with it.

@am Congrats, you want a cookie? Everybody here knows customers are being robbed, and SF is one of the worst insurance companies to use.

@an I do what’s asked of me nothing more :) I actually make more money now then I ever have and I do a fraction of the work, plus I’m about to be starting up my side job and once it’s rolling I’m gone, so until then, cope harder.

Schumer wants 400 billion dollar bail out for insurance companies or shut down the government. Insurers are democrats. I say shut it down. We dont need to make already fat more fat.

I am going to share this with every SF policyholder to show them what they are paying such a high price for. Sad, very sad bunch.

Don't worry, i do the same in ET after i got passed for a promotion by someone who took credit for my work, them being inexperienced. They were promoted from claims to ET but zero experience in working in tech. What they do is make the capable mid-level engineer to show them how to finish tasks through "collaboration" and talk in meetings like they did all the work. They also gaslight people about siloed work which is a way to force people to help you finish tasks. Most management are also incapable so they get impressed and promote the person that uses people as a stepping stone.

So i've stop having an impact since i'm not rewarded and i don't want to work for someone else's promotion. So I too milk the system, cheer for progressive stock and focus on my side business.
