Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Disappearing posts

There were two different highly critical threads yesterday about employee experiences that are now gone. Why? Neither of them seemed to violate aby rules and each had a lot of comments. One was from a disabled vet and the other was survey comments. What's happening?

@bt, What are you even talking about? I wrote '@bs+1k6ane4cf' comment. I didn’t delete anything - there’s not even a remove button here. I was just giving my two cents, based on years of frequenting these pages.

@bs But you also removed posts that did not break any of the rules, in naming anyone. I and others believe you simply removed them because they were just too well written in making Humana look badly. And maybe some of the H-1B comments as well. And also people struggling since pushed not. And the post that offered the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which was in response to someone’s question about religion in work.

I think you are using your power perhaps beyond your authority.

HR doesn’t run this site and has no say in what gets deleted. There are forums for tons of companies here, and if you scroll through the posts, chances are you won’t see much praise. I doubt any HR or execs are thrilled about it, but it doesn’t seem like there’s much they can do.

That said, the site does have rules (check the footer), and the mods seem to stay on top of things, hence occasional deletions. Like other social platforms, most of the rules cover swearing and threats.

Also, you can post anonymously, but from what I’ve seen, you’re expected to respect others’ anonymity too. Posts that include names, initials, or anything that could identify someone usually get taken down. Execs might be fair game since they’re public figures, but naming regular employees seems to be off-limits.

For every post that disappears ten new ones suddenly appear.

Do the math…doesn’t really pay for the monitor to keep removing lawful constitutional free speech posts.

@OP In a sense that is good because it means they, or at least the site monitors, are afraid of a little bad PR.

They cannot handle hearing the truth that their company is not the way the Humana ads portray the company.

But there are lots of other places I am sure those folks can retell their story. But shame some Humana employees didn’t get to read them, especially the leaders high up.
