It seems to be a consistent.refrain throughout middle management this past week.
Is this because leadership has asked them to prepare for the possibility?
Or is this due to paranoia? Can you all please share your experience and what you are hearing? My manager said it to my team, and then when i asked others they claim the same occurred within their team.

What out friend in Frankfurt fails to tell us is that Avaya Germany confirmed 3 major office closures this week and the cancellation of over 80 layoffs because Avaya can't afford to pay the agreed packages........
I’m senior manager in Frankfurt office and I can confirm we didn’t have any notification about BK.. Actually good news is what we may get soon!
Depending on the type of bankruptcy, it might not cause massive layoffs anytime soon. What it will probably mean is that the non-employees and organizations that are owed money by Avaya will not receive the full amount they are owed.
Common them here and widely known (by those who've worked for Avaya for past 10-Yrs in multiple regions)... Dead Company Walking!
Tells you how stupid they are, bankruptcy means all jobs are gone, just sit back and enjoy the ride if it happens so what at least you won't have to listen to your stupid manager anymore, I bet you'll have a new job before him/her
If we do go into bankruptcy again, then there will be more layoffs. I am afraid it is gonna be a long Christmas waiting to see what happens
