Friday was the last day for over 1/4 of the contact center and from what I hear similar rifs occurred elsewhere in the life & retirement area. Next big layoffs are planned for November-December timeframe af the division winds down and transfers servicing to Everlake/NTT Data/TAG.

Hopefully they have their life and retirement in order.
It was not unexpected. 60-day notices & severance for all of them. Just reporting the group layoff.
This is not unexpected, is it? L&R has been winding down since 2020 when it was sold off. Layoffs have been planned since then. It's up to employees to find something internal before the cuts are made, if there are internal positions to fill.
