Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Critical rule violations

Word on the street is they want more critical right after the contract has been settled and the job security for no layoffs per merger, but they need their quotas for criticals that just went up ! Again dealing with this company there always a get one over on the worker clause

Not trying to sound rude, but it’s no surprise. This is typical UP management behavior. All of you deserve better, and there are jobs that are better. Leave on your terms, not theirs.

Once you get a critical and they shut your shop down they can pick and choose who will be allowed to relocate.

The government, especially needs to just access the mcs program since it's the parent program to ILP2. Still very much alive and in use and where all the dirty stuff for numbers happens. See how management and those now in charge really made themselves and their money. Fraud does not equal trade secrets, especially with the amount of tax dollars they've received over the life the company. And boy is the workforce paying for it.

Previous post isn't wrong by any means but keep in mind they'll use malicious compliance and efficiency to still get rid of you. Thank your unions who sold you all out and the reps that care more about their positions and politicking than you.

Yeah because they know not everyone knows every single rule that they have. If they keep changing the rules, then it's just about guaranteed they'll get a critical rule violation somewhere. If you're unsure if you're following the rules correctly, then STOP THE LINE! Ask the manager on duty or the manager that's watching you for clarification. If there's a camera watching you, then STOP THE LINE! Ask your local management if the task at hand is being performed correctly according to the rules. Throw it right back in the face! Let's be honest, most of the management doesn't even know how to do the tasks that we perform everyday and they certainly don't know the rules either. Let's STOP THE LINE and slow everything way down. How long do you think the critical rule farming will last when everyone is asking their local management for constant rule clarification? The biggest issue is that a lot of the management teams like to lie. I've personally witnessed managers making up fictitious infractions against people. I've had to tell people to constantly to check their profiles for infractions against them. Those fictitious infractions were never mentioned to them, and some were even let go as a repeat offender without even knowing it. DO NOT TRUST THE MANAGEMENT! Vena is absolutely going to try to get rid of as many people as he can without announcing layoffs, and the critical rule farming is really the only option he has. Do not second guess the rules! Stop the line and ask your manager! The management is going to get real tired of having to constantly answer rule questions, and the yards WILL slow down in a hurry. On the bright side, it will actually solve two problems for the company though. It'll keep the workers informed of any changes to the rules and it'll help educate the management better on the rules and how to enforce them. If the company wants to play their games, then go ahead! What the UP doesn't realize is that a lot of the workers they have are highly intelligent people and can play more sophisticated games!
