If this is winning, I'm tired of it already.
No salary, and prices going up. Not a good combination

Just had a toy I was planning to buy for christmas go from $153 to $215 in my amazon cart. We are NOT winning.
My experience is that folks who think they're in a unicorn "caring" company are the ones whose delusions are that much more shattered when they too get laid off, or get acquired, or see cost cutting, or whatever the reason that happens to every 'great' company eventually. Happened to me too many times to trust it won't. It's corporate america - "caring" isn't even a word in that dict.
@gk I once worked at a place like that. "Best place to work". No layoffs. Bear busts. Profit sharing. Raises every year. A cornerstone of Silicon Valley. It was great, until it ended. Now it's just like the rest of Corporate America.
If you find a unicorn, enjoy it while you can, because when the leadership changes or the meteoric growth ends, the company will also change.
@e3 You’re really wrong. Ex Oracle here. At company now where employees are cared about and customers are as well. You sound like oracle mgmt. coward.
My only 'win' is having already known before all this that no one owes you anything, and no corp at all out there gives 2 shts about their employees or their customers, not this one nor any other one, by definition of being a corporation. And certainly not any government. They all just gangs on the prowl for victims to steal from. Harsh but true.
My neighbor, a police officer👮♀ from San Mateo County, said this was the way.
I think the problem is the belief in promises, from either business or politicians.
I wonder who received the 30 million restricted stock units (RSUs) that were granted to Oracle employees during the fiscal year ended May 31, 2025, -(it’s disclosed in the Form 10-K annual report filed with the SEC specifically in Note 9 (Stock-Based Compensation). Most certainly to the gready upper ranks!
No raises this year! I found that out from my manager
