@tc you in fact have no clue what you are taking about. Just bc someone doesn’t believe everything they read on the internet doesn’t mean they are staying at WAG. I bet your mom didn’t use a full cup of sugar when she made kool aid for you when you were a kid. And it shows.

For some of you whom keep on and on about people not knowing what is going on or happening....keep drinking the walgreens kool aid. You are at walgreens and never will leave until they get rid of you. So be it. Great place and environment to work at isn't it.

I heard this today as well. Not good for remote workers.

This is BS. Layoffs will happen, some people will be made to come into the office, maybe even some will be asked to relocate, but at this point unless you are chatting with the Sycamore people directly you don’t have insider info. Your friends don’t know, and your mom doesn’t either, and he’ll, even your director or VP don’t.

I get it. It’s scary but I am not buying this for a second. I don’t know where rumors start. The internet is a great place to find them though.

@ek right!? I mean most of senior leaders are remote. Tim was ‘remote’ LOL. All the Product VPs are remote for example - which is suitable b/c they can talk and do nothing, from anywhere. Also, news flash: when RTO was announced some leaders scrambled and swayed to get HR classification ‘Remote’; when they live within walking distance of OPO or 15 min commute to Wilmot. Real talk.

@er Work from home call center employee here. The day Walgreens requires us to return to the in-house call center will be my last day.

@eh that’s not true at all. There are plenty of departments with remote workers. Market strategy, Real Estate, IT, plus some field leaders that aren’t even in the areas they support/lead. There are well over 200 remote designated workers that I know of, none of which are call center. Add those and it probably doubles.

@eh I’ve got remote coworkers proving every day that things can be real even if you don’t want to believe in them

The only remote employees are hourly call center employees and unable to relocate. Everyone else was already directed to come into the office. This doesn't seem credible.

What is more reliable than your friends who are trying to inform you. Geesh. You don't need a fake degree from USAID to give information about Walgreens bad changes ahead.

I never heard about that Townhall. Why do you love spreading rumors?

Totally predictable. Rumor is if they don’t get enough to get people to quit from this announcement they will move to 5 days in office
