I’m furiously looking for another job. I don’t think many of us will survive here over the next couple of months.

@2dt ajay
@2dt Boombox?
@211 Who is AA??
@20d that is because a demo sells the solution. That is what AA says and if he says, then it must be true
@1yw so many nonproductive jnpr "enterprise" people. managers been su-kin their thumbs for years - no real ent experience, no experience - stuff like that
You only need one account team for an account. Sales managers are letting Sales staff do what they do best. Death match. 2 in 1 out across the board.
- 1 Potato Head.
@111 dream on. methinks you protest too much and are shaking in your boots.
The only people that should be worried are the Mist overlay teams. Several inside HPE are asking the questions - why do we need them. SE-VER-AL people. Each and every legacy Aruba SE will run circles around those clowns. Full stop. Sure there might be a few and those will be lucky enough to stay but for the rest - the Aruba SEs and the other folks surrounding them like TMEs etc are top notch.
@vf Blah ha ha. I know Potato Head. Are those ears real?
Don't for get Dr. Gartner's buddy Mr. Potato Head
So many need to go - Dr. Gartner n his buddies, Boombox, Aunty M, Larry, Oliie. . . .
@ea January? Figure it out? It's already been figured out playa. Why keep thousand on payroll until next year, tf?
Sales will be kept on long enough to figure out where all the overlap in headcount is and where all the overlay people are hiding. In January it'll be "one team" selling "a single solution", so that's when you can expect the gutting to begin.
Toni said to sell both portfolios. Didn't you hear Toni? Waterbeds, futons, mattresses!
I think you're fine until July if you got a transition offer. Then by July, HPE will have a clear idea how to do combined sales and chop out everything that is extra to that. Start learning GreenLake.
As someone who worked at a company that was 'right sized' after Elliott invested a billion dollars (as they have now in HPE)
I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. (IMHO).
Sales probably won't get gutted (at least not right away)...however once you are under HPe elimination/RIF/Layoff...(call it what you want) 'policy'...the severence packages will get worse..and most probably the day you get notifed will likely be your last. Also there will be layoffs on 'both sides' ..
Wouldn't be a bad idea to look around..get a sense of who is hiring. The good news is it is fairly easy for Sales Reps to hop to a new gig. Just my observation with Elliott.
That's a little dramatic. The vast majority of us will survive, which isn't to say we won't lose colleagues along the way. Perspective will serve us all well right now.
@OP What makes you come to that conclusion? Also, are you talking about a specific team...Named Enterprise, Commercial Enterprise, Cloud, SP? Of those, I see Commercial getting hit the hardest, but the others won't be nearly as bad, especially SP
