I don’t care about you wearing makeup or not, or any weight gain or loss, or if you decided to wear your hair different. However, when your corporate headshot is over ten years old, I’ll even give you fifteen, but you’re pushing it … you no longer look like that. There are some exceptions and you know when you’re NOT the exception. I respect people who have the confidence to show themselves as they really are because this way you’re not unrecognizable when I actually do meet you in person.

Who gives a fu-k? What the fu-k does that have to do with layoffs at this company?
Who hurt you? LOL
I used to work at Wells Fargo and never got around to updating my picture for my profile. They kept me too busy working days, nights and weekends. Taking care of my children and pets. Just kept that old picture of me from the time I first started working for Wells Fargo, ten years prior.
Got laid off. Now at my new permanent internal employee job, working for the NC government, I just use the photo from my company badge taken three years ago. Maybe I should get a nicer photo for the new company because the badge photo is not really the greatest, not taken by a professional photographer. Yeah, I will put "get new headshot photo" on my "to do" list. When I have time. Thanks for the idea.
My office badge photo is 21 years old now. Who cares what people look like? Who cares if you are on video during meetings?
Yeah. Because that is one of WF's most pressing issues!!!!!!
Who cares what people look like. I don't. I won't see you in person anyway and if I do, it will be a one and done. Gone.
They'll all say zz eventually anyway. Who cares.
With all the chaos, changes, and BS that have been going on and no end in sight, this is the last or least of my concern, or anyone’s concern!
Who really cares? But you can use AI to advance you in years. You can also use it to change your lineage just a bit.
I keep getting notices I could pay $25 for someone affiliated with Wells to take a corporate headshot for me. Fu$% that...I ain't paying to park and I definitely not paying you to take my picture for this company...really starting to hate this place...
Thank you for your post OP as I know you were also talking to me. I only use my 10 year old photo because I had dark hair and no bald spots. Even with my mean look, I still like a photo from my years in the joint anytime! Did I forget to include that part, sorry.
I think you meant to post your question on the AITA Reddit thread, didn't you? This is the layoff site.
Too lazy to put in any additional effort / even if the headshot was free
People seem to stop updating their profile pic when they start pushing 60 (sometimes earlier).
I used to work in a dept where a guy was obviously using a photo from the 1980s (this was a year or two ago). We had an all-hands sort of thing where everyone was "encouraged" to be on camera.
I couldn't believe my eyes. This guy looked like he could barely keep his eyes open. There was no more question about the photo being from the 80s - it definitely was.
I feel sorry for him. To be that old and still having to work would be brutal.
Anyway, if you feel like you're getting older and feel insecure about using an updated photo, you'll feel infinitely worse if you don't. Eventually everyone is going to see what you really look like. Best that it not be a surprise.
Considering the time and effort you took to post this, I think you need a vacation.
Why? Everyone loves my baby picture.
Are you ok baby girl? 🤦♀️😂
