1,000 in Germany, where will the other 1,900 layoffs be?

Originally they had planned to let go 2900 heads in Germany. This was part of a larger effort in Europe aiming at cutting 4000 heads in total until the end of 2027. The news regarding 1000 BEV production workers comes on top of this. As far as I understand it management hopes that generous severance packages will help to disband those workers until the end of 2025, leaving the plant with just one shift. It is obvious that this cannot go on for long.
