I’d be gone in a heartbeat. But the job market is a nightmare, and that’s the only reason so many of us are losing sleep over the threat of layoffs at a company hardly anyone actually wants to work for. In any other circumstances, leaving this company in the rearview mirror would only be a good thing.

Having COP on your résumé isn’t a positive when competing for the scarce opportunities that are available.

Move to Denver and work for SM. I hear the USD really goes far there. The market is far worse than you think. Many MBAs out of work with 10+ yrs experience aren’t even able to land junior level roles that have 15%+ pay cuts.
