Found this number and talked to a very nice lady. They handle all discount information for all services.

Discount will start automatically November 1st for all qualified wireless retiree plans.
Qualified plans are the newer ones. Called in a few months ago complaining about my bill. Found out I was on a old grandfathered plan. Switched to a newer comparable plan and actually saved money.
If you are retired you might call in and find out what plan you are currently on and find out which newer comparable plan is available so that you can get the additional discount.

I get the non employee mint mobile discount. $15 mo.

The best AT&T retiree discount is mint mobile. $15/month unlimited. And even the network it resides on is proven better: t-mobile.

Where would you look? I see my discount reflected when I see that months bill. So you might not see anything until the November bill comes in. And depending on your billing cycle you might not see the entire amount. Should see a difference but will probably be prorated for the portion of the bill that falls within the starting date of November 1st.

You can log into your bill and hit change plans and it will compare the prices to the older ones if you have it verses the newer plans. I plan on logging in Nov. 1st to see what the comparison is and if I get the new 50%.

Basically go anywhere else as a regular customer and save significant money. Especially if you are 55 and older.
