Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

How does this even happen?

We lost a great manager. They decided to nuke our department for no good reason and then handed the pieces to someone who loves micromanaging and playing politics. I went from enjoying my job to dreading it within a few weeks. Again, for no good reason! This place makes no sense to me.

What is with the whole HHG thing? Seems like the bank is spreading those folks pretty thin.

Best advice: Do what is ONLY required, not asked.

Let the new clueless manager suffer.

@b2 - Wow. How profound! Must be a low-mid manager. So enlightened by your insight. Team Truist!

@b2 - Duh. Been the case since the merger. Rinse and repeat.

Really sorry to hear this. Wish it was the exception, not the rule. Too many quality people are leaving while the influx of less talented, more cult-like sycophants get parachuted in. Seems like things are going to get worse before they ever get better.
