This is a Commercial Banking employee and there has been no confirmation of exactly why she was banned from leaving and what the criminal investigation consisted of. “ She was the latest in a number of foreign executives who had been barred from leaving China or detained in the past few years.” I am honestly shocked that this hasn’t been in the news really, nor were any CB employees within the business necessarily apprised of what was occurring. Happy for her that she can get back home finally.
I love how they associate the WF name with this even if WF has nothing to do with it; some tarnishes are long-lived.
