Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How would you change Town Hall format and content.

What'd you do differently? I am asking Risk people as we had one today but I know other groups are complainging about it too (I am talking to you IT)...

I would like to hear them holding themselves accountable for the fines that keep getting generated over every new scandal that pops up. I want to hear them say they are forgoing their own bonuses every year that they have to pay out hundreds of millions or billions in fines.

Foster an environment where people feel they can ask tough questions candidly, as Chuck claims to endorse while demanding softballs.

To me it's simple. Less DEI and more progress talk on actual business. The best one they had was the last talking about digital products etc, though the bar was set low

I'm not listening to a word from anyone that works for WF in NYC. They lost the audience and it's not coming back.

No one goes to town halls. Its a bunch of unqualified, not respected, pseudo management talking to the wind. Pass

Maybe less podium clutching and talking about how ~amazing~ the office is for productivity (spoiler alert, productivity was up during WFH and it's absurd to say we all get more done crammed into unassigned desks, unable to hear ourselves think over our neighbor's loud phone calls)

I would cancel them. No exec PR events, that BS isn't shining anyone who works here unless they're a bootlicker.

I'd be more real. Everything seems to be staged. I am asking execs to come back to earth and be real.

Honestly, I wish they would spend more time on DEI. It’s the most important thing to any company’s future financial performance. Together we are better together.

I would answer ALL questions first. If they don't have time for questions, then they could send a follow-up email. I think some interesting stuff was said today, and I did like that DF talked about RTO at the beginning, rather than running out of time at the end.

I think things people care about are whether people numbers are where they should be, or if they still want to cut more people. Have they really looked at whether RTO makes sense for everyone? In locations where people don't feel safe, are they doing anything about it? Since people aren't co-located, will there be additional flexibility in location? With all of the changes that have been made to make employees feel less valued, are there any initiatives to change that perspective?

Maybe a better question would be "what do they want us to gain from these calls?"
