Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

FIS lost all employee trust

With the way they’re handling this, the damage is going to last long after it’s over. Nobody here trusts leadership anymore. Nobody believes in them or their ability to steer the ship. I don’t think they grasp how bad it is for a company to completely lose employee trust, but they’re about to find out the hard way.

The most recent FIS layoffs are getting rid of excellent employees while under performers remain. Staff reduction by accountancy. Way to go to maintain staff morale, yet staff are still fed the same line about how great the company is going by senior management.

@db The hostile work environment is a risk to your health, relationships and family life. The narcissistic level of thinking is over the top! Just say, No!

The stock dropping like a box of rocks is a clear sign of Sr. Leadership failing. The leadership that knew the business have been RIF'd for speaking the truth about functionality on a specific platform or retire because watching what is going on daily is painful. Those new ( there is no seasoned leadership) Sr. mgrs. remaining are working middle mgr to the limits of zero work life balance. When employees welcome the layoffs, that speaks volumes!
Clients are leaving and new business are being forced to a platform that is not stable. Btw, there is no new business.

@337 Unfortunately the underpayment extends at least up until the Director level. Nobody is getting the big bucks until SVP/Exec level. The pressure on people managers is massive and not all of them cope with it well (there's no WeLearn about how to talk out of both sides of your mouth).

even low level managers here get paid well considering the cost of living. they claim to be overworked while being as rude, incompetent and bitter as possible. they project their personal failures onto us, make us look bad, and it’s threatening our livelihoods. HR protects it all. FIS has really become a hostile place to work

layoffs of course get everyone on edge, but they are unfortunately part of corporate life

but it's what they wasted money on instead that is infuriating!
besides the wasted management consulting big bucks, as just one more example, why is Tarun and his org still here after Atelio is shut down? this has to be big bucks

talk about an evil genius move

first, get the employees themselves to suggest cost cuts ("Future Forward')
second, promise them a carrot if their ideas go forward, so you can actually have them run the action, on top of their normal day jobs
third, promise the carrot will be paid 'in the future'
forth, cut them before you need to pay

Was in a meeting with our “VP” and they said that “we need to stop making our employees feel comfortable”.

THAT is the mindset of the “leadership” at FIS.

@cg yes, there was a bonus associated with Future forward. My understanding from a friend was that the final part was to be paid out at EOY this year.

I've never worked for a company with more clueless r3tards for management than this one. A year and a half and our team has never engaged by exec leadership in our org. Total closed door stupidity where these id--ts can't even do their jobs and are being allowed to have their own consultants to do their jobs for them. These people are pigs and FIS is nothing but a swine house.

I heard a rumor that employees that participated in Future Forward, where their ideas were actioned, were promised a bonus. A small amount was paid up front and the rest was promised at some time in the future (with fine print you have to be still employed at the time of payment)
Surprise. people were laid off in the meantime

is this true?
