Investors need to step in. Target spends millions on Target together and there’s no return on investment other than people who get pumped back full of kool aid so they can keep working for the big red machine. Stock is at 80 now and it’s deplorable behavior to spend at a time like this. Layoffs need to happen asap to get rid of those still working from home adding little to no value!

@jd wfh is not the issue. They've made one bad decision after another that angered people. Concervatives, LGBT, dei, and now their corporate workforce. Every poor decision makes people want to spend their money elsewhere.

@123 to be honest, people are taking more shopping trips when they’re in the office, at least downtown. Have you ever been to the Downton Minneapolis Target store on a weekday? It’s full of corporate employees shopping or doing store walks. FFS, there’s a game room at the commons across the street, which has been there for at least 10 years. Talk about wasting time…
And the good majority of the people you are referencing are not paid by the hour, they are salaried so technically they are getting paid to sit on the couch and binge Netflix during the weekend. Working in the office does not equate to more guests shopping and/or spending more money at Target. Most innovative ideas I see being put out by who you think are lazy WFH employees are shot down by leadership. That’s where this issues are rooted. Poor leadership, lack of strategy and accountability at the highest levels.
And sure, maybe some were abusing privileges while working from home. That doesn’t necessarily mean having those workers in the office will improve their performance…
Obviously Target is overloaded with workers. The pure selfishness of them amazes me. People kicked and screamed fir 1 or 2 days a week back at the office. That is the litmus test to see is an honest days work in being done.
People need to look in the mirror and ask themselves if they owned a business could they pay someone to do laundry, walk kids to school, run errands, attempt to work with kids at home.
It is called work because you need to help make money so they can pay you .
Ask yourself, if I left suddenly would it even be noticeable? Most likely not because Target is so overloaded with personnel, efficiency has been forgotten.
Time to work folks, do you pay someone by the hour to mow your lawn and they take shopping trips half way through while on the clock? Didn't think so

Layoffs need to happen to maintain margin.
The place is in Kmart and Target territory. Layoffs and cost cutting as “gains” is dying territory. Office days are crowded with random meetings where only 1 or 2 people speak. No work gets done because no one wants to do business with us so there is no work to do.
@j2 wfh is a privilege and as a former employee I can tell you people are taking advantage with the wfh at Target. There’s a minority that cares to work or even go above and beyond. If you all were working so hard collectively then why are you in this mess??? Is not just the D&I issue- it’s a laziness that persists and a lack continuous improvement. You can’t keep up with Costco and Amazon with this attitude. Even Amazon brought their people back in.
Trust me, no one was pumped full of Kool Aid at Target Together this year. We’re all just as disillusioned as you.
And why on earth do you think WFH has anything to do with Target’s performance. Such an asinine logic leap.
I noticed that no one addressed the boycott in any of the sessions I attended. It was about delighting the guests who remained.
