Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Count another one!

I was going out to meet some friends this weekend for drinks and took an Uber. The driver stated he ditched his corporate gig about 2 years ago and has been doing Uber ever since and would never go back to a corporate sh-t hole. He asked me what I did for a living and I told him I work for SF. (I was embarrassed) I told him about all the cr-p that SF puts people through, how they treat their employees and how horrible the service is. He said I was the 3rd person he had heard that from lately that worked for SF. He said he was cancelling his auto policy and would let all the other Uber drivers know. He agreed and said it sounds like a total living h-ll hole. Go Progressive!

@d0 Right, you've gotten 83 people to cancel. Do you even believe your own rhetoric lmao. I just come here to see all the jokes that you people post, buying into your own hype or inability to read or rationalize. If ya'll leave state farm the company and those that appreciate a good income will be much better off.

I got 3 guys I meet on the golf course last week to cancel! They paid around $8000 a year for their homes and cars. That's $24,000 for me in one weekend! It helped they recently had claims with SF and said it was a horrible experience. They said they were going to spread the word....every little bit helps! They work in corporate America too and said their jobs are bad but not the torture h-ll hole that SF is.

Yes they are too stupid to realize that constantly sc--wing over your employees does not result in anything except a totally disgruntled workforce that could give a sh-t less. I used to go above and beyond because in most situations State Farm used to have your back. If they closed an office or did a reorg they gave people choices, severance, bridging years of service. If you wanted to move they let you, you could generally trust what they told you and if they couldn't keep a promise they explained why and had the decency to apologize for mistakes. These evil pieces of trash, lie, cheat, steal, manipulate and to line their pockets and not take accountability for anything. I agree hit them in the pocket book anyway you can! F-ck State Farm!

Here is my tally
I've gotten over 83 people to leave (mostly friends and family) State Farm after telling them what a complete and total sh-t hole this place is and how they treat employees and customers.
I always asked what policies do you have with SF so I could keep a rough estimate of my success:
83 x 2.5 cars. $3500 on average in premium - $290,500
83 Homes- $3000 on average in premium - $249,000
45 Life policies and Plups - $1300 - $58,500
Probably some more I'm missing...
Total- $598,000 +
I'm still going and I would encourage everyone else to do the same. Hit them in the pocket books. They think they are sc--wing us over by trying to run everyone off, not paying severance and treat people like sh-t . It would have been a lot cheaper for them to pay me to leave! I hope to double this in the next few years! My own "Accountability Cycle" and meeting "Standards"! I'm just getting started! Spread the word!

We have a 30% expense ratio. Agents make up around 12% of that or roughly 30% of it! Compensation including pensions/401k only make up about 6% of our overall budget. You could fire every single employee and take away their pension and it would't even scratch the surface of State Farm problems. We spending as much on marketing as we do on compensation. Cancel away! It fu--s the Execs over and agents worse! Please!

Freeze the pension or I’ll cancel my policies. To other policy holders your rates go up while they have a pension than will pay out for 30 plus years. Is that fair to you?
