Multiple sensors triangulate your position so that the extrapolated data shows you are spending 11% of your time working on site taking a dump

@c0 yuppers. If anyone is watching what people are doing on their phones and laptops, they absolutely don't give a sh-t. Has always been that way and will probably never change. People who are trying to say it's some sort of surveillance state are dead wrong.

Lol I'm not sure where people are getting this information. Worked at Intel for 10 years ,if they track anything at all they sure as he-l are not acting on it. Tons of people hitting up escorts, buying dr-gs ect...it has always been a free for all. I absolutely abuse the fu-k out of that free phones and they keep giving me new ones. All though I do know one person who's phone was audited when he ex girlfriend made a bunch of phony harassment complaints against him. Something like that could get you in trouble if you are careless about it.

I think RA has something like 4000 installed cameras. Not joking.

Not sure about the p-e cameras, but the other cameras have been tracking employees for some time now.

The badge has an RFID chip and that too is tracking movement around the facility.

IT monitors all network and cell activity at each site. People are routinely terminated based on those results.

HR has performance monitoring based on computer activity, and the use of that is increasing.

Most of the time none of this results in anything, but as the company gets smaller then the ability to stay employed while doing the wrong thing will diminish. Managers are also being instructed to get more serious about performance monitoring, after some years of lax enforcement.

These are just to shed those who can't meet the minimum requirements or stay in line with corp policy. Everyone above that line is facing increasing pressure to show they are contributing at a competitive level. More will be promoted to customer due to being outcompeted by their peers than anything aimed at the bottom 5%.

They have the ability to collect a lot of surveillance, the question is will view it and then act on it. I can say it depends on the situation and whether or not you are in the cross-hairs. I left my work phone in a gown-room, came back 5min later and it was gone. Checked security down the hall and no-one had turned it in. Seemed like theft so I reported it immediately and eventually 3rd level manager pulled camera files. That person claimed they could not identify who was in gown room even though they have badge data to get through the entry. Individual who picked it up turned it over to someone who wasn't security or a manager and I didn't get it back for 2wks. Individual who turned it in had a family member who was a manager in the chain of command. Like I said, it really depends.

@OP
This tells me you have never been on an Intel campus.
Or you pay no attention to your surroundings.
There is no safe space. There is no escape.
