There are rules to follow when joining home dispatch program. Following the rules helps save gas and time and wear and tear on a vehicle used to drive to work and to home. But MSTs abuse this program from driving to the garage every day and dispatching at the garage. Making a stop at the grocery store to grocery shop in the company vehicle before driving home. Not closing your last job at the job site and instead, drive home and being still dispatched on your work ticket and then closing the job when you arrive home. I follow the rules, and I do not want the home dispatch program to go away because of MSTs taking advantage of the abuse. Also, MST managers are favoring many MSTs and letting the home dispatch MSTs do what ever they want. STOP ABUSING THE HOME DISPATCH PROGRAM YOU MSTs. You know who you are...

I'm with you. ALL rules should be adhered to. Maybe you can help me out, I reported racism and met with the company several times about it. It was documented and admitted to. The company did nothing to that manager. They did accuse me of leaving my door unlocked overnight and gave me a day off after reporting the racism. Funny, on the day of one meeting when the manager's car door was left unlocked the company couldn't answer when asked if COBC applied to every employee. If you could tell me when adhering to the rules will take place by management I would appreciate it. BTW that racist manager is still there using racial slurs as we communicate.
According to all the replies so far … all who had replied is or are abusing and taking advantage and stealing company money. Rules are rules for home dispatch technicians and should be followed or be terminated or suspended and be brought to attention. Favoritism is a problem and taking advantage of the system is wrong. How about complaining about the exec suite and all their use of company assets if you want some reining in of perks. Keep your nose in your lane and stop hollering, “Citizen’s Arrest, Citizen’s Arrest” Gomer!
Let their managers worry about the company dispatch and end of duty policy, above your pay grade. We don’t need anymore Karen’s stirring up something that hasn’t been nor is an issue. Your bi--hin will make some VP take it to the extreme over nothing. The job isn’t a factory job of putting nut A on bolt B repetitive, it’s dynamic and requires flexibility.
Some people always have a grievance and need to complain. If someone takes a late break or lunch stop en route then it’s none of your business, they may be stopping for bladder or colon relief. If you are so nervous maybe you need to find another position that meets your requirements.

I've seen many other groups have it better than I did, I kept my mouth shut because one day I might to get it as good as they do.

Bigger fish to fry than worrying about a tech stopping to pick up a loaf of bread. Unless…a tech is stupid enough to park in the busiest part of the lot at the busiest time of day and hits a child or old person.
