Five year return for TFC is just over 18%. Compare that to JPM at over 202%. I realize we are not exactly comparing apples and apples but at this sort of return for Truist why hasn’t the Board of Directors got rid of Billy Boy. ?

I see Truist got the mods to remove one of the most truthful post in this thread talking about that POS KK.
Just wait, it will get worse
@OP - BR owns the BOD. He intentionally reduced number of directors on the board so he has more control. He's also chairman of the board. The board is just a rubber stamp for whatever billy boy wants!
It could be worse. You could have invested in INTC instead.
Why? Because the BOD are just as bad. We have had 2 CEO’s a total turnover of C-Suite, a total change in OP teammates, RP and region realignments, shift in strategy multiple times, etc. The incompetence of people above APP is mind blowing. Most of the executive level folks have abnormal social issues. Pretty good talking in large groups but can’t hold a convo 1-1 or start engaging with people 1-1. The ego level and narcissistic behavior is typical for an org to underachieve because they don’t know how to lead a pack. They want urgency because their mo--nic strategy is failing and their inflated pay is at risk. Bill will be the first one to point fingers which is why many C Suite executives left a couple of years ago. KK looks like the biggest dipsh-t in bank history for doing the deal. Pinnacle CEO literally called us out about how horrendous the merger has gone. Some LOB are doing well but out of pure tenacity not due to leadership. BTW the wealth leader Dunn could in no way find a job anywhere else.
@ab
Lol, all those people either got paid very well or are currently getting paid very well. None of this matters very much for them.
@a5 When you stack Truist against Huntington, the difference is clear—Huntington has delivered nearly double the return.
@a5 yes, as I said it’s not an apples to apples comparison but the TFC return is terrible. Compare to PNC at 83%, FITB at 115%, USB at 34%, FHN at 141%, MTB at 94%. And I can go on. At the end of the day TFC performance is atrocious and we’ve got the same lousy CEO.
I’m all for criticizing Billy Bob, but that is by no means a fair comparison. Maybe try an actual peer institution?
