I don’t even know how many applications I’ve sent out so far, and all I’m getting is crickets.

@a4 this is by far the best advice. May I add, by the first to apply. There’s ways to game LinkedIn to see when jobs are posted (down to the day. Usually LinkedIn shows on days 6, right before the req closes. And you’re literally at the bottom of the pile. Also, recruiters have said “ATs scores” are almost never used - and AI scanning internally by companies for resumes are mainly used by big tech companies. So keep your resume simple and target the hiring manager and recruiters as your audience.
I left USAA when the market was getting ready to be sc--wed up. I’m happy where I’m. One piece of advise, dont ever assume that USAA on a resume is a plus. It is infact a big minus if you are in IT. People outside have a very bad impression on USAA and the technology experience at USAA means you are old school and not marketable. Highlight your skills and not the company you worked for. Also find someone who is already inside the company and get a referral before applying.
@OP I've applied for 12 jobs. 3 of them were the same job title that I got laid off from and I still didn't get passed the application part. I've received the Dear John letters on all of them now.
Do you get referrals and change the resume to reflect the job description for each one?
I have had 3 offers. I’m a top performer on a toxic team. lol. I’m weighing my options. Get well versed in AI automation, generetative, and align yourself with the company you are applying to. Get uncomfortable. Be awesome. If you are an MSR, then learn a bit of AI and put on resume. The strategy talent building here breeds toxicity. I have not seen this before. Keep applying.
