I can attest to the fact that BMC Helix’s only mission is to retain current customers. I was told as much when I asked my manager (repeatedly) for our organizational goals so that I could draft my personal goals and align them with the organization goals, as required by HR. I asked in early 2025 and my manager informally told me the only goal was to keep current customers. This was very alarming and telling of the future in the company. Feels like a sinking ship.

As an ex account manager, I can affirm that customers see BMC as a difficult company to deal with. It has a very complicated and time-consuming pricing approval process that makes it very inflexible, and customers see this. The T's and C's of its contracts don't help customers to plan for future growth, and tries to lock in ever-increasing "value". Add to these problems the high prices for products and it's obvious why customers are going to other more flexible vendors. Potential acquiring companies know all about the reputation of BMC with their customers.

Like others said, they can’t sell any software - let alone the company.

@cp agree 100%. The company is heavily focused on keeping the customers as they are hardly signing new ones

No one wants it. Low in magic q, getting smashed in ai by servicenow, other players are cheaper to engage with. No new sales just struggling to keep the current ones.
