Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

I'm so angry right now

My manager straight up stole all my work and presented it as his own. I’m furious and don’t even know what to do. Should I confront him and risk backlash, or just swallow it and pretend nothing happened? If jobs were not so hard to come by, I'd rip him a new one and quit on the spot, but sadly, I don't have that option.

Did you leave, or are you still there?

Life is short. You should enjoy as much of it as you can. No need to keep dealing with parasitic bosses, find a way out.

Did you get fired, quit, or just going along for a pay check?

Hope you’re over your anger

Get your resume ready regardless and be looking. If your manager has done that, you may be on the chopping block for a future layoff. Food for thought.

You must be new, you obviously don’t know how things work at this company, if you can stomach playing the game you can get 3% raises, otherwise move on.
Simple advice from someone who spent too many years there.

Happened me recently too. The manager is already a je-k. At the very least the manager should attribute your effort to the team.

Be careful. He might be a total je-k or your best advocate. Either way, continue to do you best. You may need to move on, or he may have just guaranteed that you will get a huge promotion and funding for the next 3 years. Make him feel that you are needed and move on if necessary on your own terms.

Who gave you the assignment? If it was your manager, then “that’s the way it is”.
If you are in it for the glory and recognition, you are really in the wrong fracking place.

I assume your team submits all their work to your manager, isn’t the managers role to present the teams work to update folks what the team has been doing and where they are going?
Sounds like you don’t want to be part of the team, me me me!

@OP start documenting and if he is presenting ask questions in the meeting about the work….. let him answer. Start looking for another job if you
Are not able to work with him, hr is not your friend in a company. Depending on where you are based. Update resume and work on self development in the meantime. Good luck
