I never thought I'd say this, but being laid off sounds better than staying stuck here, considering how much things have changed in the last several years.

It's best to just quiet quit and take your time finding a much better place to work. Sometimes it takes up to a year or more to find a good job.
The last several years have been rough. Covid, Jan 6th and Donald Trump being elected a second time.
I mean, yeah, things are kind of bad, but can you just look for a different job rather than wait for a layoff?
