Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Just work M-F 9-5 in Dallas or Atlanta as prescribed

I mean if you truly want to be on safe turf just relocate and follow all the rules to the T. Actual work? - do as little of it as possible until you reach the exit sign.

“ Lazy Americans”

There are no lazy (true) Americans, only faux ones.

Yep, I cut back work by 15 hours a week. Now my target is btwn 40-45 hours a week. This is the first year in my career I have used sick days, and I will use 100% CGO and Vacation days for the first time in roughly 20 years. That is the new culture that Stankey has created . . . 8 and skate, it can wait!

Never move to save your AT&T job because you will still be terminated if they don't want you.

"Lazy Americans."

LOL -- Also, the most efficient and productive nation in the world. Unfortunately, Stank is violation all the rules of motivation because he is not a leader.

Moving to Atlanta and Dallas will only buy you some time. The amount of cuts they need to hit the revenue per employee ratio will eventually hit those two hubs as well.

But I don’t want to move and am not hirabke by any other companies due to lack of skills.

Not everyone has returned to the office. All depends on your management. If the edict is everyone in then it should be enforced.

Every single surplus my org has had has been people in Dallas and Atlanta. All of us in non hubs have been left alone.

@a1 Those people will probably last longer than most of their peers. Badge swipes, hours on corporate LAN, and being in Dallas/Atlanta is rewarded and more important than doing the actual work.

Even Stankey himself does very little work. Buy this at high. And then sell this at low. Give a couple of press releases. Blame it on others beneath him. Literally just follow in his footsteps and you will be safe - he has laid it out for you.

It's all selective. The Torrents org let his managers go back to working from home after they laid off the older workers they moved from other areas for RTO . It all depends on what org you're in. The Legg side of the house just used RTO as a way to lay people off and replace them with more H1B's from their third party contracting middle man.

Keep doing as little as possible and see how long you'll last. Try it.
