Thread regarding Collins Aerospace layoffs

Interiors layoff today

Former interiors employee here, I’ve heard there was a decent sized layoff today, maybe the 3rd layoff for the year? Any numbers on the RIF?

@378 Melbourne Fl. 2 managers “laid off” with severance. One manager a back bone for this site. Very sad. Both of retirement age. Me fired after 10+ yrs. Of service to the company. At retirement age NO SEVERANCE PAY. If they laid me off I would have had one. They are too cheap. Reasoning of fired didn’t hit my % I was literally off by 1.4%🤯 wayyy more then my fellow coworkers 🤨 Not only me either others “fired”. I hope they get hit hard by tariffs!

Winston Salem Collinsaerospace laid off about 30+ employees on 9-9-2025 and they were all of retirement age. The way they did it was really F-up.

@1s8 Yeah the ones that actually work hard and care about their positions. We get rewarded with ice cream parties and pizza parties like we’re in freaking kindergarten yeah after 10+ years I was fired. I’m the older generation they would have had to pay me severance package and the itty-bitty retirement, if I was laid off. Unemployment is a big $275 per week. Favoritism is rampant in the Melbourne site. It’s not what you know, but who you know very sad.

Ridiculous upper management at C*s kept their merit raise and bonus dollars very safely for 2026 and beyond at the cost of a lower level hardworking people.

Shame on this company; all the big wigs spend ESP company dollars to get big expensive degrees free of cost but, their education didn't use common sense to save people's jobs and come up with PLAN B cost saving ie TRAVEL, Gazillion 80" FLAT SCREEN TVs on each floor; spending a MILLION OR TWO on under desk thermal sensor!!! allowing a gazillion employees to work REMOTE burning company dollars in DEGRADING PRODUCTIVITY and many many more!!!

The bad upper management didn't even consider 10% PAY CUT ACROSS THE BOARD as they would lose their THOUSANDS in bonus money!!!

Layoffs in Lenexa. Pretty much eliminated all Galley Inserts plus some Oxygen people.
Touching they did it on Tuesday and not the normal Thursday with it being the 24th anniversary of 9/11.

@OP I'm one of the affected employees from Winston-Salem NC site location. I was absolutely sad and devastated to hear when I had entered the building.
