I wonder what will be left in the tower. The Barn and Salem are toast of course, but "consolidation" in the tower is inevitable as well. Who will survive?

@g0 Sure, but what do they consider the actual layoff point? You know how WF likes to play games with what they say. From what's I've been told, the 60 day notice doesn't count as the layoff. After the 60 day notice period ends is that counts as the layoff point.

So following that logic, if 60 days notices are given out on 9/16 or 9/30, the actual layoff would happen in November which is Q4.

Additionally, I wouldn't put too much stock into what WF HR says. Half the time they don't really know what's going on, the other half of the time they've been instructed to obfuscate.

@fk Looks like many Oregonians did not attend the May career workshops offered by HR. HR was onsite and told everybody during the Q&A that layoffs will happen "in Q4", not before Q4.

Personally I think 60 day notices will go out 9/16 or 9/30. They need time to clear the building and decommission the servers. Additionally, some team members might receive working 60 day notices as opposed to non working.

60 day notices would put us in November for the actual layoffs when severance starts.

One thing that makes me think notices are coming soon is that on my team we have had additional people coming in on weekend shifts to learn. From what I’ve experienced in the past this usually happens maybe a month or less before staffing changes.

Barnhart's lease is up at the end of December. Facilities told leaders on site here that they need the building emptied by 10/31 as it will take 2 months to clear everything out. Absolute last date for employees based on that timeline is 10/28.

I have specifically been told Oct 28th for myself, but no idea if that applies to anyone else. I don't work with anyone else in Oregon.

10/14 avoids company paying 401k match. 10/28 would be a "thank you" with 401k match but avoids allowing anyone who started in January to get another 2 weeks severance.

HR was in Oregon in May for the career workshops. She told everyone it will happen "in Q4", not before Q4. So it will be in October. Either 10/14 or 10/28.

Layoffs will most likely occur on 09/16 or 09/30. I don't think there will be any layoffs on 10/14 due to that being a holiday week (Columbus Day). But who knows, right?

I heard 10/28 is the last day. If you are still employeed after that date you will go remote until they lay you off as a remote employee.
