Has anyone started interviewing for positions in HPE yet? Sounds like we'll need to interview for new jobs within HPE.

Nope, Which group WFR today.
Are you aware of people being fired today?
@OP - Many Mist men hang around here. Don't they have work to do?
There aren't interviews. Offer letters only. Up to you if you want to take it.
No there are no interviews to get a transition "offer letter" in your current role.
@av even if you get a “transfer” notice or letter, you are still not “safe” and can be let go anytime after.
@b4 That is only if you don't receive an offer letter to transition to HPE.
@ax I believe we are still subject to Juniper severance program for first year.
@av The offer letter is for a job and just like any other job, you could be here one day and gone the next.
If you accept the offer and transition on ED1 (01.NOV.25), you'll then be an employee of HPE, with your JNPR years of service coming with. If they decide to let you go after that, you'll be subject to HPE severance policy, whatever that may be.
Only you can decide what the best course of action is for you. No one is going to tell you "This offer letter is just so you stick around for the transition into a single company."
Plus, who knows how long "transition" could be. So if you are looking for a magic number of months/years you'll be kept if you get an offer letter, go play the Powerball, you have better odds with that.
But if they give you a letter is it for a job or is it just to help them with the transition and then goodbye? Is there anyway to know how HPE has identified who is getting an offer just for the transition?
This might happen if you have an overlap position but there has been no mention of any interview process.
Whoever said you'll need to interview is lying to you. Nothing of the sort has been mentioned.
If they want you, they give you a transition offer letter.
