Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Good Riddance BCG

Millions spent on consultants making upwards $500K each to tell the ELT the answer to our problems is to cut GA costs. Nothing innovative there. By the way BCG told Chevron management the same thing. Big whoop.

See pg 36 of the COP 2025 proxy statement, bottom row of the table will show you why. You have a board with BCG connections.

Why aren't they delivering? This is what ELT wanted to hear. BCG tells us we are overstaffed compared to our peers. In order to not fall into the trap to restaff up, BCG gives us some vague ideas for automation/efficiency and leave and we are stuck to fail at this automation and revert back to throwing additional bodies at the work in '26

Genuine (maybe d-mb/naive) question: BCG isn’t delivering…We have a very competent Legal department…Why don’t we sue?

Those consultants are expensive leaches. Use the same playbook with all companies and the execs of those companies are too stupid to see it.
