Thread regarding Saudi Aramco layoffs

Aramco recruiters at it again

Beware of the false promises made by these unethical bunch. They continue to employ bait and switch tactics, the promises made do not align with the actual contract that gets offered…

  • never accept anything verbally, always seek in writing the actual deal.
  • do not accept vague or general language to mask the fact that you’ll end up with nothing.
  • one expat was told their benefits supplement would be 80% of their base salary(!), when the paperwork arrived it was 15%. Everyone know that, recruitment thought it ok to lie to the candidate/
  • another was told their kids (special ) education would be paid by Aramco, on receiving the contract Aramco pay les than a third.
  • another was told they would receive an annual increment of 5% for satisfactory performance, yet in reaiity if that’s 2% if at alll.

Juts remember with theee guys it’s BUYER BEWARE.

F the ascamco. Worst culture of all the ruggers. Deceptive but d-mb. Worst leadership hands down of all oil companies anywhere anyhow. The. Worst. Period. Expats included for the hair transplanting ugly noses only elevate the western knee benders if they hole for glory ($). Now it’s nonstop curry…smells bad. Tastes bad. Acts bad. Is bad. Everyone good has left or a few just riding it out. No new blood. Just filth remains.

Rule 1. Never leave a job in the westnto work for Aramco.
Rule 2. The recruiters have never been to KSA, they don't have a flipping clue aboit what its like to live there.
Rule 3. The reason for the high salary is because the country , rules , climate, air quality and treatment of expats is poor.
Never accept low compensatuon. Remember they will not training you like they do Saudis. That says it all.
Rule 4. Saudi managers and supervisors have no leaderships skills and experience. They treat expats like their white slaves. Expect to be at their beck and call.
Rule 5. Be prepared for a long complicated onboarding process and dealing with house hastles. Housing is substandard and water quality is poor ...you can taste the salinity.
Rule 6. Expect to see Saudis washing their feet in the office sinks...disgusting, but not really a rule
Good luck.

Every recruiter I met has never been to Saudi. And the person they brought in during "orientation" was a chain smoking Aramco brat of the 2000's. Out of touch with reality of Aramco worklife, but daddy took great care in spoiling her.

The misleading of this company is seldom, if not ever surpassed. I used the word misleading but it all amounts to lies.

There's no end to the length of lies, deceit and misadventure in the recruitment of staff who take a chance joining the company and leaving the ordinary world behind.

Be prepared. Decide if the employment option is a school of hard knocks or stint in the circus. You may well find it to be both!

And you should see the way they lie to you even more about what you get when you get laid off.
