If you are laid off they will find a way to give you a poor review so that they don't have to give you a bonus.
When i think of the upsides of getting laid off……performance reviews regardless of who does them is high on the list of - thank god i am outta here. After that RTO and Teams video, Think about the beauty if this was one of your last 360 reviews you had to endure
I wish they’d lay me off in October. And if they did they can kiss my a55 about a self appraisal. Would they even lay out a bonus if you’re laid off.
If you don't do one, what do you think they'll do? Fire you? Bit too late for that.
Does anyone really care?
Most don't do it even if they aren't laid off
I haven't done one for at least a couple of years, especially when they announced layoffs. Pretty sure October is when we'll be out, for us. It makes no sense to do an evaluation for a career that will cease to exist, not to mention your not going to get a raise before that. It helps nothing and accomplishes nothing. But you do you, don't matter what anyone thinks.
Yes
if you are bonus eligible then I would do one so as to improve your chances of still getting a bonus. Just reuse your midyear and add a few new items that you worked on.
Self evals are encouraged but not required. Read the materials each year. If you don't do one, you rob yourself of pitching your accomplishments, but it's not mandatory.
They have been pushing it back for weeks
