Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Was the cut 10 percent on every department in fusion in the us?

I was part of the layoff but I feel the cut was not needed in my department and it was a way for my manager to look good since we had some retirement coming up and the person did not get touched but I did and another member did. A senior member indicated that won’t get impacted.

Anyway I’m out it su-ks I worked so hard and cared. I looses sleep over this .

If it is supposed to be 10% cuts, then they gotta get to 18000 cut. Wowza. How many got cut so far?

4k September so far, at least 3.5k in IDC in August (some say 8k total over summer), so if other regions is cut on the level of US on Sep02 - it is doable in the remaining September round.

Someone said CX wasn't touched? Then tell my manager cause I was CX and I got laid off.

@b4 Not true. Rob's former CX org WAS (once again) affected in this latest (sep/02) round of RIFs.

Rob's former CX org was not touched for some reason it looks. Maybe because CX was in purge mode for years at this point. Or maybe be next round will go through CX before October all-hands. We were told not to start new features next Sprint, which looks very ominous.

OHAI (which is supposedly in growth mode) got hit hard, too. We were already a small team, missing deadlines, and now with fewer people, I don't see how they can possibly deploy the federal clients on time. Congress has chided Cerner for this in the past. Perhaps Larry will eventually get his turn in the hotseat.
