@1f0 Layoffs in September are designed to be able to spin the message in October to analysts that "efficiencies" have been implemented...translates to sales targets are off so stock price will be impacted.
Layoffs in October will be due to a message of "we are an "all weather team" which really means the Executive Team needs year end numbers higher to jack their bonuses.

What areas were laid off, or was it just a few people? It's hardly been 2 months since the last round.

@16e consider it a blessing, I'm hoping to be targeted in this next round of supposed RIF's. You got the golden ticket out!

Sadly, it is true. I left this morning though I was allowed to stay until Friday. Heartbroken!

This is a distraction from the previous topic.

@OP useless baseless post. In the rare possibility this is remotely being considered, please ask for volunteers before randomly picking people or managing by spreadsheet. Morale would benefit from volunteers rather than picking future victims of a layoff, sorry RIF, I mean resource action.

I wish they had a stupidity helpline like the other reporting tools. For example our sr manager is ignoring the current government direction on outsourcing banking on it just being talk while investing substantal resources on oversea expertise when tariffs might shut those off. The greed in saving some money while jeopardizing the current business model is blind stupidity. no defense against that at all and the band played on

Management, please first offer to cowokers 40+ in age.

I know many that would take a voluntary layoff with severance at this point.

This has become akin to flying on a plane when the airline throws passengers /crew off halfway through the flight. The brain drain is real now. The best and brightest are leaving, and I'm not referring to sales, rather to product development, software development, solutions architects, and engineers. The layoffs beginning in 24 were handled so badly that it will take years for this company to recover.

Need more detail. I've heard allusions to it but nothing concrete.

Do you have any source for this? When was this discussed? By whom? etc. Lazy to start a post like this.
