Seems fishy that one would resign and the rumor mill has been going crazy that there was some shady things going on (theft, lying, etc.). Usually leadership at that level has more of a transition and sends a fair well note.
Just curious if anyone else knows more.

When someone “retires” abruptly they are let go “to pursue other opportunities” that were not their choice. If they are retirement eligible it can be coded as such.
