Thread regarding USAA layoffs

What will this mean for third party employees?

What will the layoff mean for contractors?

At the end of the day who cares. This is a company that is supposed to be focused on those who have served in the U.S. military. The focus should never have been on 3P IT contractors who are willing to work 24/7/365 for crumbs because their culture encourages that.

Depends. Sometimes they cut FTE and beef up 3p. Sometimes the opposite.

3P is the easiest target, no severance needed.

Plus half the time, 3P is playing ping pong and over billing. IT should pull the virtual lterm hours and compare to the hours billed to get rid of the cheaters.

Get rekt, peace out!

If you're nearshore or offshore, you're fine. If you're onshore you should be used to having a target on your back by now.
