Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Quitting after leave penalties?

Does anyone know if there are implications of quitting immediately after your parental leave ends?

Have had 3 employees give their notice 1 or 2 weeks before their return to work date. No penalties.

The implication is that you are a girly man.

I have had a few coworkers who notified their managers a week before their leaves ended and they did not have to pay anything back. I'm not sure of the actual policy, I would have assumed you would have to pay back if you gave notice before returning. But again - I know of 3 people who did this in the last year and they were all fine.

I would go back for a few days if you have health insurance through your employer. I think you have to pay back all the insurance premiums that optum paid for you if you don’t.

I poked around for you but didn't see anything explicitly outlined. You could try calling Sedgwick anonymously at 866-697-8122. Best wishes to you.

You'll have to pay it all back. That happened to me.
