I recall statements made during Jim’s tenure indicating he not only didn’t support women’s full, active participation in the workforce; he seemed hostile towards policies ensuring it. He also demonstrated a lack of respect for women in at least one greater meeting, when he routinely called on the female participants last, and deferred to male participants without military backgrounds above the women with it, even when he claimed to prioritize military service members. I was glad of his exit and hope we get military based leaders who better appreciate and recognize the sacrifice and protection their female compatriots have shown them.
Let Jim be. I see him at the airport all the time. Tanned, and living his best life. He doesn’t need our drama.
Employees and members wanted a flag officer at the helm. What did our impotent BoD do? Ignore them because of their ego. Zortman, Fargo...clowns. couldn't swallow their pride that they selected Wayne and extended his contract. Then, to cover it up, Wayne lies that it was his choice to leave. Until you clear out the incompetence in the BoD, you'll keep getting subpar EC/EMG selections. I wouldn't trust the remaining EC to run my 10 yr old's lemonade stand.
He should have become our CEO instead of Wayne.
