Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Virtual Support

I know today and the next few days have and will be hard. The way this company is behaving is irrational; the colleague experience is not at the forefront of their minds nor the client experience that is preached about. Although they are preaching it is not cost savings it obviously is, they are chasing a number. This will not improve the stock price nor the client satisfaction levels. The actions taken today will have a huge impact of confidence levels from the board and analysts.

Today I have seen people in shock, hurt, and worried about their future. Whatever emotion you are feeling know it’s not a reflection of your talent or value. This thread is to offer support to those impacted.

For those of us who "survived" this round, it's only a matter of time before our number is called. Sometimes I wish I was on the list just so I wouldn't have to continually work in anxiety. It's also mentally straining losing those we built bonds with. Team camaraderie is built, just to have half your team laid off the next round.

I wish we all would protest for one day, with everyone below a Director title calling out. Let those above see just how well the company would run without us minions.

I'm okay [for now] but my boss was let go as well as four of her peers that I know of, including the sponsoring VP for one of my biggest projects. I've had to cancel quite a few client meetings because I don't know what to tell them.

I've never met my boss's boss, and in any case she's traveling out-of-country and unreachable, so it's going to be at least next week until I know where I even sit in the org now.

I’m sitting on my deck right now with my dog and a beer enjoying the beautiful weather. I won’t have to deal with anymore stress from FIS. Cheers!

Thank you for this. Another example of the wonderful people who work at FIS. It’s a shame so many are being impacted, but I feel that the support in this forum says so much.

This is a great message. I've been with FIS for over 12 years and this is the worst I've seen it. The Worldpay debacle has sent us spiraling. Managers are getting their notice today. I know of at least 3. So far no front line staff cuts that I'm aware of. I agree the culture and mood have fallen in the tank. It could be a long few days. God bless all.
