Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Layoffs in Spain

Hi everyone - so it was just announced by SAP Spain that they are starting another mass layoff process in the country.

Given the legal requirements of the process, this means it's at least 30 positions impacted of the ~1000 we have here.

I guess the writing was on the wall after that Q2 earnings call with Christian and Dominik.

I'm curious if anybody else has heard from other countries being impacted too?

@b3 I'm guessing those affected will be high salaried mature colleagues. More profitable in the short term. New hires will be paid a fraction of the salary and will have > qualifications, for all that's worth.

People in software R&D orgs across multiple cities in China were impacted in the past days as well, and the numbers aren’t clear.

Anyone knows or has any clue or idea on how they will be cutting people out? Based on performance/tier/probation period? Any idea on what departments are high risk?

The shameless duo continues to destroy people life... Looking only after getting their reach bonus based on stock price. Culture erased as of Jan 2024, push the stock price at any cost, ask people to over perform without motivation and with the layoffs axe pending on their head...l feel like vomiting
