Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

No layoffs before November

At least judging by the fact that no WARN has been filed yet. That gives us still more time to put things in order and try to find something else, if there’s anyone left who hasn’t already been working hard on alternatives. The job market is terrible right now, yes, but there are always options, especially if you’re willing to step outside your comfort zone. The only truly useless thing in this drawn-out drama is to sit around worrying and panicking.

It helps make the holidays so much more fun. Thanksgiving and Christmas, New Year all in trouble now. Start digging in the yard for coal to put in the socks on the mantle.

They can still lay you off as soon as they publish the WARN notice and send you packing but pay you for the next two months.

Week of November 3 has long been the betting favorite. Conveniently tomorrow is exactly 60 days from 11/3 so WARN could happen anytime now

This isn't new information. They've been saying November since the last communication.
