Thread regarding Ricoh layoffs

Raises

Hello is anyone heard if RICOH will be giving raises this year? They have completely fallen off track with the cost of living and they need to do something to retain the workers that they have left.

@3zq The last time they pulled the "no raises for senior leadership" they had already given them raises before the announcement. The truth is if hourly employee knew the details of how large bonuses are for senior leadership there would be a mutiny. they don't get a few hundred like hourly, or a couple thousand like line managers. We are talking 100% to 500% of their annual salary. Raises are in the 25% range. What it comes down too is everyone is working and struggling to keep cost down, so that senior leadership and put it in their bank account. Don't believe me, just do some research. Ricoh is far from the only company that operates this way

I was told that there would be no raises for grade 12 or higher, and held at no more than 2% for salary grades 11 and below. Not sure about STI. They did cancel the incentive trip for sales. Probably to keep more cash for another acquisition.

Anyone hear anything more about the possibility of STI being impacted?

Why complain? Ricoh wins another "Great Place to Work" award. 78% of employees at Ricoh USA say it is a great place to work compared to 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.

No raises. Wonder how many people will get fired this year to be more lean and mean!

@OP As if retaining employees was their goal. If you quit, it frees up the severance money so that they can lay someone else off.

There are rumors now that our STI may also get impacted and more layoffs are on the way. It never ends here!

My manager told me that only the hourly employees will be eligible for raises this year. He seemed very unhappy about that.

At this point you have a higher chance of getting laid off than getting a raise. Unless you're in management the only reason to not look elsewhere is for whatever benefits you might have.

Raises? Cost of living? I’m guessing you haven’t been at ricoh too long? They have completely fallen off track with making money and embraced questionable relevancy. ricoh stock down 22% ytd. Unless you can biologically turn water into sakai, eat more ramen.
