Anyone else have this title meeting today with HR and their senior leader? What does this imply? Layoff or restructuring? Has anyone already had this call today.

Had mine an hour ago, a lateral move with the same responsibilities.
Just had mine. A meeting with this exact title. It was just my SD, no hr. I got promoted one level and moved to a different team but will be doing more or less the same job.
@OP I have mine this afternoon, VP and HR rep - 30 min. Everyone I know that had a meeting today got laid off, so I’m anticipating the same at this point.

@OP got the invite in the morning from VP, no HR. Had the call about one hour after and Hr joined separately. I got laid off and was actually hoping for the outcome. I got moved during last reorg to a role that I don’t like at all and it’s not a good fit with my background. It’s such a relief! I can now make a plan with the severance package for the next chapter. Good luck everyone!
At least for me, it was a layoff. I got an invite with that title just after 7 this morning and was asked to prioritize the meeting.

@ad it’s super early in the day, you’re saying you know people who have already had conversations?
I know people having convos today that aren’t layoffs or demotions, in different orgs so please don’t assume.
If you’re getting an invite early on, it’s likely a bad conversation. Bad convos come the first 1-2 days, the following day will be new role convos, then an announcement that changes are completed.
From my experience in past reorgs, I’d guess it’s either a layoff conversation or a demotion offer where you will have a choice.
Last year, when I was laid off, the meeting invite appeared to come solely from my Senior Director, but HR was also on the call once it began.
HR and VP on that call.
you can check the calendar of whomever sent it and see if they have another meeting at that time too
HR is usually left off the invite and join separately.
