In my opinion DXC is officially a dead duck this is true. It is the worst run company of any GSI but that’s expected when the new leadership team consists of people who have never done this before. Couple that with people promoted way past their ability and an America’s lead with more HR violations than you can shake a stick at… it’s done.
Oh… and the competition has picked off anyone who is actually good you are left with a company dying.

A trusted friend once told me: make small changes and take one decision at a time. Quitting a job you've been in for years is scary — but you don’t need to have your next 25 years mapped out.

Question 1 – Do you really want to stay at DXC?
Obviously not. So start planning your exit (if you haven’t already).
Build your safety net: save as much as you can, cut unnecessary spending, and give yourself the freedom to walk away.

Worst-case scenario?
You can’t find a job with the same salary, or the state pension disappears by the time you're eligible. Work out your numbers now — knowing you could quit today and still be okay is a powerful thing.

Question 2 – What do you want to do next?
Get a new job?
Start something for yourself?
Retire and sail around the world?

Start imagining it — not as a fantasy, but as a plan.

Question 3 – Would redundancy really change anything for you?
Would it make a difference? Could you walk away today and feel happy — or would you feel lost? Maybe deep down, you enjoy the chaos. Maybe you're waiting to be proved right — that DXC never had a clue. Or maybe, when it comes down to it… none of it really matters, and every extra day here is a waste of your short life.

First time looking here since left and WOW !
Left on a WFR back in May at 62.
Account was winding up and saw no reason to stay on.
Managed to get 30 weeks WFR + 12 weeks PILON, plus my holiday pay, so just under a years pay. Right place, right time for me.
Do I miss it ? No !
Its those still employed at DXC I feel sorry for. If you're a few years from retirement just grin and bear it and put those WFR requests into the WFR Mailbox. You might get lucky like I did.
If you're under 50 you need to get out as soon as possible under your terms. There is no future at DXC. Last thing you need is that Friday 16:00 phonecall informing you your role has gone.
There are better companies out there and it might take a bit longer to find alternative employment but you'll feel a whole lot better once you're out of DXC and away from the toxicity.

DXC should have automated, and streamlined years ago. You can't just ask AI to fix your business! It is quite good at providing 80% working solutions with an a pleasant aesthetic. The challenge will be migrating the legacy cr-p without a total break down. Good luck with that one.

It's a plan that (at the risk presumably of a managers job) that you have to provide. Objective is 80% less by 2030.

@bm 80% redundancies on the way, please tell us more.. when, where and how soon? That will be 80,000+ people let go, amazing figures, which will result in massive dividends to shareholders (and those let go in "nice" countries with redundancy), hopefully (wishfully) the company even exists at that stage due to blowing all its #1 resources out the door for AI profit.

And then reality set in.....

Given that management have been asked to work out how to achieve an 80% resource reduction over the next five years I'd guess they know it's dead too.

What's not clear is whether thats because they believe (wrongly) that AI will do that many jobs or whether it's because they see the tsunami finally arriving is hard to say.

That's a real thing BTW, not fake bs.

We know it - they know it - the customers know it. How it keeps going is a mystery to everyone involved. Probably equally to the senior management. But while it does - just keep taking the money and focus on something else, as thinking about work clearly is doing everyone's nut in!!!
