Don't forget, if a holiday falls on one of your three office days, you're required to make that day up on another day during the week. They're watching (per my manager).

I have yet to make any days up. If a holiday or pto lands on a day i would be in oh well. I hae never gotton any grief mainly because i do my job well and am here all other times. My friend is different give her an inch and she takes a mile. She was barely coming in for a year and finally got told it was a firable offense
Jesus, some of you people are nuts. Bots maybe. Paranoid certainly.
If your manager says to come in three times a week, regardless of PTO or holidays, then do it or find some other job.
If there's a forthcoming company email affirming the same, then there's your answer.
Otherwise, get off this website and into a doctor's office. You need your heads checked.
@g8 youre a mo--n.
@g8 taken from their Careers page.
@f5 This is BCI. It is your fault that Aetna now knows how many holidays we get.
A company that is paying a full-time salary, giving medical benefits and also a 401k and a yearly bonus, but the said company does not care for their employees, because they ask for employees to come to the office three days a week.
I personally dislike the 3 days in office policy, but whatever, I have to do it otherwise they will flag me. What truly upsets me though is the absolute lack of flexibility and the fact that the company is trying to beat us into submission. If I take a day off (After they already removed so many days off) that should absolutely count as my in office day.
The 3 day in office policy is the company's best tool for attrition. It works so well that the company intends to keep it in place even after enough people quit. Short term employment is the goal. It's cheaper for people to quit, eliminating increased salaries, eliminates increases to PTO, and management doesn't have to deal with pesky career paths.
260 Weekdays (52x5)
156 Expected in office (52x3)
104 Weekdays not in office (2x52)
- 5 PSW Days
- 9 Holidays
10 PTO (2 Weeks)
= 80 WFH Days
1.53 WFH Days/Week (if 2 weeks PTO)
1.44 WFH Days/Week (if 3 weeks PTO)These are averages, to account for holiday/PSW/PTO taken over the course of the year
@cw incorrect.
Actually that’s wrong. It doesn’t matter if it’s a normal WFH or in office day. A holiday or PTO decrease your WFH days. Everyone should be in the office 3 of 4 days this week.
@cg just leave HCSC...like a lot of folks have...even with taking a pay cut. That org is not worth it...will sink when all talent leaves. Already happening with all good leaders that left or were forced out.
Sounds like Canon they do this as well.
Yes. However, HR and others on here will still defend this d-mb policy.
So in other words- we get sc--wed
Good advice, thanks for sharing it!
@OP that's correct. But while you're off today, try to enjoy it.
