Our manager scheduled a virtual holiday party for next week! Does anyone know how that works? Are we supposed to buy our own beer and do a watch each other drink ?

TK is having a global virtual Christmas Party and when it comes to the gift exchange it will be a bunch of pink slips as she boomerangs and dances around for selfies. The pink slips were provided to the cheerleader by Saul .
sf region has a big event next week. going with some co workers and looking forward to it
My holiday party was a gift. i got gifted 6 months worth of work to be done EOY due to a mismanaged project. They decided that I was the only one who could fix it, so everyone else washed their hands and I was told, by someone in the ‘suite’, that it had to be done by EOY. I have many colleagues, same level and role, that are completely unable to do their jobs, but there they sit. And the management is well aware of it. Too bad, I have the 19th off through the end of the year. Haha. This place!
The goes well with that phishing test email we got recently about the Christmas gift card link..... :)
A virtual party? What happened to all this “collaboration”?
No celebrations of any kind in my area. My manager does not understand US holidays and why they are celebrated. Sucks to be managed in this manner.
@kkr Guess you're on the naughty list this year.
No party of any kind in my area - things are that bad. Lots of people leaving before the bonus due to high levels of toxicity. Leadership completely sucks and management does not understand the Christmas holiday season.
be thankful you have a manager who cares enough to try and bring your geo diverse team together. I guess they're dammed if they do and dammed if they don't. I know a lot of hub regions are doing holiday events for the whole region.
I am from NYC, and we definitely do not have a party in a country club. It’s virtual!
Free icecream
Gotta be better than the Charlotte party at Dave and Busters in a ghetto a-s mall.
Must be nice living in NYC where the party is at a swanky country club. It's good to be the king.
Who wants to participate in a virtual holiday party? Decline the invitation and have a real party after work.
Yes.
